“When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.“
(emphasis added)

This may not appear, at first blush, to be a pre-trib verse, and it’s probably safe to say that the ancient Jews didn’t see it as such.

When Jesus returns, He will come as a warrior. He will slay His enemies and then set up His kingdom and begin to administer it. It does not appear that there will be any “down time” or vacation time. Therefore, we MUST be taken at least a year before He returns. It’s the law.

As I write, it’s Tishri 11 in Jerusalem and 9:30 PM on Saturday evening here in the eastern U.S. It appears that Yom Kippur has passed, and we are still here.

However, Mary and Martha also thought they were “out of time.” We may be similarly premature. We and our spiritual forebears have been praying for 2,000 years that “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We are getting what we prayed for. Keep looking up.

It’s a painful type of rejection, and many know it first-hand. My mail bears testimony, and experience suggests that many who are experiencing this particular frustration did not ask for prayer for it. Perhaps that’s why the Lord prompted me to post these thoughts.

I’m there myself. I became a last-days “activist” (for want of a better term) maybe three or four years ago (maybe longer; time escapes me) but my online publishing of “The Final Fulfillment of Pentecost” really became a watershed in our family. In the past two years, I have tried a LOT of approaches that have not worked. I don’t think there is anybody in my immediate family who listens to the program or visits the Homework page.

There comes a time for Godly resignation. The believers and prophets in the early New Testament reached that point with the Apostle Paul, recorded in Acts 21:14. The prophetic message was clear, but hard-headed Paul had made up his mind and would not be dissuaded. Period. So with resignation:

… we ceased, saying, “The will of the Lord be done.”

I am at that point. Perhaps some of you are, too. You should not feel guilty because you can’t get through or because these people about whom you care so much don’t get it. Donna Partow spoke to that in her discussion of what she calls “prophetic prayer,” which she defines as: “The art of listening intently to the Father’s heart then accurately and boldly proclaiming God’s good, perfect and pleasing will for a given situation.”

She continues:

When we use the word “prophesy” in this sense, we are not talking about predicting the future. Rather, we are proclaiming God’s highest and best future plan. Then it is completely up to the person being prayed for whether or not they choose to get into alignment with God’s plan.

To which I would add:

And may the will of the Lord be done.

It’s clear from scripture that none of us is supposed to be “in the dark” regarding the coming of the Lord. We are responsible for being obedient watchmen, but we are NOT responsible for results. The light is there. Some folks prefer darkness.

The paragraph and links below “make the case” with clarity and simplicity.  One need not be a Bible scholar or astronomer to understand the message.  Believing it is another matter, and we can only pray that God will give grace to believe.

In Restarting Daniel’s 70th Week, Carl Worline wrote:

Several thousand years from now when we are all sitting around in the New Jerusalem reminiscing about how it was “back in the day” on the “Big E” (earth), I am certain that there will be armchair quarterbacks with their 20/20 hindsight who will be proclaiming how they cannot possibly understand why the people on earth could have missed all of the signs and not possibly known the exact day of both the rapture and the 2nd Coming.
 
What they will fail to realize is that looking backward is easy.  Trying to interpret the signs of the times in advance is almost impossible because there are so many of them.  There are so many signs out there it is becoming increasingly difficult to see the road.

Dear, dear Reader, I am not being theatrical:  Wake up and smell the judgment! Jesus Christ laid it all on the line.  He certified the truth of everything He taught when He rose from the dead.  The Bible is TRUE!  All that stuff is really gonna happen, and there is a mountain of evidence that it will happen soon.  The brimstone is about to hit the spinning blade, and you won’t wanna be here when it does!

Almost all of the “urgent” stuff in your life is insignificant compared to the true urgency of being ready for the promised return of Christ – OR the very real possibility that you will not survive the terrors that are about to be unleashed on this planet.

I may sound like an alarmist.  So were Noah, Lot, Jeremiah and a host of others.  If your pastor isn’t warning you, then shame on him.  Look at the evidence and think for yourself.

I PLEAD WITH YOU!  Life is more than a mundane grind with a question mark at the end.  Repent and get reconciled.  Take out the trash and strive to become the person you were designed to be.  Judgment and redemption are both on the very near horizon.  Please get ready.

Witnessing the Republicans and Democrats endlessly bicker over the U.S. debt is analogous to watching two drunks argue over a bar bill on the Titanic.

A bit of gallows humor, perhaps, but nonetheless painfully close to the truth.  The RMS Titanic will have been on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean for one hundred years this coming April 15th, and many saw its sinking in 1912 as a harbinger.  The irony of this tragedy was not lost on pulpits on both sides of the Atlantic.

Today, as you are no doubt aware, we face the frightening possibility that the Titanic tragedy may recur; writ large across the U.S. and much of the rest of the world.  Many continue to remain oblivious; perhaps many more are thinking either “it won’t be as bad as they say,” or “there’s nothing we can do about it.”  One might wonder if the passengers aboard RMS Titanic entertained similar sentiments.

Warnings of imminent catastrophe have been sounded for years.  The late Pastor David Wilkerson was among the clearest and most urgent of these voices.  His Urgent Message was sent to his entire mailing list.  This was clearly preceded by some anguished prayer, and probably more than one sleepless night.  About ten years previously, Pastor Wilkerson delivered a sermon entitled “‘Be Ye Ready’ Is No Joking Matter” and this clearly demonstrates the consistency of his message over time.

Today, it appears that there is not much time left.  And Wilkerson’s comments and insights of ten years ago are even more relevant today.  As he, through the prophetic vision he had, recognized the certainty of national shipwreck that must result when any nation abandons Biblical morality, America was on the threshold of an economic boom.  I do not know how much he may have been mocked or vilified for his warnings.  What I DO believe is that everything he warned us about is now on the visible horizon.

One of the things he said, and that prompted me to write this posting, is that he was “washing his hands” of those he had warned.  He did not mean he was abandoning them, or that he would stop warning.  However, he emphasized that if they did not take his warning to heart and proceed accordingly, he was innocent of their blood.

I’m there with many of you.  I have written and spoken with clarity for over two years.  It grieves me to know that some acquaintances, friends and even family members still can’t be bothered.  It’s not that they won’t listen to me; it’s deeper than that.  They refuse to examine the evidence and determine for themselves how late the hour is.  Jesus Christ Himself gave us signs to watch for, and to simply blow off His urgent warning with a glib “no one knows the day or the hour” is deeply troubling for me.

I am convinced that “the brimstone is about to hit the spinning blade.”  Wacky conspiracy theories abound; I know that.  The eschatological community certainly has its share of crackpots, flakes, and deliberate deceivers.  But people such as David Wilkerson are not among them.  The signs that Jesus warned us about are now clearly visible for those who will simply look.  True Christianity has always been about more than a Biblical ethic and weekly maintenance meetings.  If you believe in Jesus Christ, then you believe that His Word is TRUE, and that it is worth studying, even if that means foregoing your favorite programs on TV.

Again, this is about knowing what the Bible speaks of prophetically, and then studying to see whether these things are true.  If we are on the very threshold of the return of Jesus Christ, I would hope that every Christian would be preparing, and every pulpit would be proclaiming.  Sadly, this is not the case.

So, it’s hand-washing time.  I will continue to watch, to warn, to prepare, and to present information that I believe will be helpful in preparing and encouraging any who will listen.  For those who have bought the lie that “there is no hurry,” I can only continue to pray that God, in His mercy, will sovereignly over-rule your recalcitrant hearts before it is truly too late.

In other words, the American body politic has rejected those ideas and ideals that made America great, and have embraced socialism, Marxism, elitism and Darwinism in their stead. Most of the people you know – folks you work with, go to church with, meet at the market or deal with in business, are okay with fiat money, evolutionism, the income tax, and the imperial presidency. Obama, or someone even worse, could win in a fair election.

We are under judgment. “Survival of the fittest” has no problem with discarding unwanted children, and Americans have “voted for” this abhorrent practice 52 million times, the 5th Amendment notwithstanding. Will not the Judge of all the earth do right? The unique life-affirming and prosperity-affirming principles of Americanism have been abandoned. The experiment in civil liberty under God and by law is dead, and we have killed it.

In addition to the political, cultural and financial debacles we now face, we also are on the threshold of unprecedented environmental disasters. The massive earthquakes in Haiti, Chile, New Zealand and Japan; the massive flooding that has destroyed much of the grain crop in our land; the recent spate of killer tornadoes; and the blistering heat wave and droughts we are currently enduring are just a foretaste of what is coming. Does anyone really believe that if we just “vote the right guys in” we can recover and avoid subsequent judgments?

There will be regime change, but it isn’t at all what most people think. There is already a one-world government: Jesus Christ said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” The noxious elements of the New World Order are pretenders to a throne that is already occupied. The Lord will hold them in derision.

Repent. Get your spiritual house in order. Turn off the noise and take out the trash. Jesus Christ is coming soon, and His reward is with Him. Turn and seek the Lord. Don’t think that any social movement or political party can save you. If you are more conversant with the popular culture than you are with the Bible, your priorities are fatally inverted. If you think Jesus came to start a new religion, or that all He expects is an ethical life and your attendance at a weekly maintenance meeting, you are LOST IN YOUR SINS.

Why would you die? REPENT – turn from your self-righteousness and your wicked ways. Don’t content yourself with being a 21st century Pharisee.

This past week (Monday) while praying, I believe I heard the Holy Spirit tell me that “bitter water” is coming. I shared this with [my husband] and then with [my son], asking both of them to pray with me about it. As I have continued to pray about this I have felt in my spirit that we are going to see something happen to water in some way that will result in a literal “bittering” of the water.

I’m pretty careful with “I had a dream” and “voices from the Lord” but I have known this woman for a while and trust her a lot. To me, “bitter” water is opposed to “sweet” water, the latter being fresh and potable. So “bitter” could be either polluted (biologically unfit to drink), contaminated (chemically tainted or radioactive), or simply salt water.

Biblically, “bitter water” appears in Numbers 5:18-24 with regard to …. UNFAITHFUL WIVES. Very possibly something like this is in view, since judgment comes first to the house of God. The bitter water brings a curse (verse 18, first Biblical mention of “bitter water”).

The word for “bitter” (transliterated) is mar. Strongs H4751
1) bitter, bitterness

a) of water or food

b) of harlot’s end, end of wickedness, cry (fig.)

c) of pain (subst)

In the Numbers passage, there are two outcomes:

And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, [that], if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, [and become] bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

or

And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

It may be that the Lord sees America’s corporate “churches” as a pretender, a counterfeit. This may not test it/them at all. In view is the true believers, many of whom may be involved in corporate churches and many of whom may not be. The question is probably not one of religious practices or religious culture, but of true faith lived out every day. Are we faithful to Him? Or have we turned aside to idols?

We shall see.

What if we’re actually RIGHT this time?

The last time I had this “Feelin’ in My Bones” was on July 25th. Everything seemed to be pointing toward a rapture event, but alas ….

So with that in mind, as well as the recent false start by the Camping crowd, I’m being pretty quiet about my expectations.

I posted some comments by Tom Bigbee last November 9th, which was the day after our last major disappointment. He observed that, “This thinking also represents the idea that the Rapture will happen on a feast day, something I am not convinced of. Jesus ascended on a day not hinted at by any observed day so our ascension could also be any day” and he may have been closer to the truth than he thought.

We should know in less than 22 hours. In the meantime, it’s a balance between tying up any loose ends, being ready to remain if we’re wrong again, and not leaving any embarrassing “I told you so” items around.

I’ve taken David Wilkerson very seriously. I really don’t think the next years are going to be pleasant, and in this “prophecy” I am certainly not alone. It could be a time of awakening and refining for those “believers” who were left behind … OR, it could be “masks off” time and overt acknowledgement by many who we thought were Christians that they were really just participating in the dominant religion of the culture. I still don’t quite understand how someone who loves the Lord but believes that “no one knows the day or the hour” is a comprehensive grasp of eschatology can still not be excited about seeing Christ, and especially when the signs of His coming are so blatant.

But there is a serious undercurrent of violence beneath the thin veneer of “civilization” here in the U.S., and a lot of folks are finding out just how thin and easily ruptured that veneer really is. This recent spate of criminal incidents in Rochester, Miami, Myrtle Beach, Long Island, Charlotte, Boston, Nashville, and perhaps many other places may be just a foretaste of what “business as usual” will look like in America going forward.

Many have prayed … myself among them … that the Lord might break our hearts and give us a spirit of brokenness that leads to repentance and healing. Apparently, He has something else in mind.

Israel was reborn on May 15th, 1948 which was Shavuot. That “final generation” would end on Shavuot in 2018, which is May 20, 2018. On the Hebrew calendar the date is 6 Sivan. Back up seven years and it’s June 8th.

We shall see.

I am writing this to you as a witness to what is going on from the streets of Cairo over the last few days. Rania and I have been following the developments since January 25th, which started with a large group of Egyptian youth taking to Tahrir square in an anti-government protest with specific demands. I know some of these people who were in that group and I talked with them. What is happening now has nothing to do with this original protest! What is happening right now is a conspiracy to topple Mubarak from outside the country!! I am not a conspiracy theorist, but let me tell you what I have personally witnessed on the streets of Cairo.

I want to share first what the LORD told me on Friday morning.

I went to the LORD in prayer on Thursday evening, praying like many others for protection and for the restoration of peace and security in my land. I told the LORD: “Father, answer my prayers with rain”, which He has several times before. I went to sleep. I woke up on Friday morning and went directly to prayer. Immediately, I sensed a strong urgency from the LORD saying: “As the people of Egypt presented their requests to Mubarak, I am calling on My people to rise up before me and present their requests to me for their nation”. I went on to hear the LORD: “Let the Holy Council assemble”. I didn’t understand who this Coucil was, but I knew in my heart that the LORD meant that there are people in my land that are called by the LORD to stand before him as His Holy Council with authority to make declaration over the land, to establish the Kingdom in the land. My demands to the LORD were not political ny nature. I prayed for “good news to the poor, freedom for the oppressed, healing for the brokenhearted, and the acceptable year of the LORD” as the Holy Spirit gave guidance. The LORD spoke to me the words “JUSTICE” and “TRUTH”. As I went to talk with Rania afterwards, she told me that she had been awake all through the night, and that IT RAINED around 12:45 am. It was very strong, but not for a very long time (a few minutes). I knew then that it was the LORD. The LORD spoke Psalm 97:1-2:

The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad;
let the distant shores rejoice.
Clouds and thick darkness surround him;
righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

Indeed, there had been unusual clouds and very thick fog in December over Cairo, unprecedented in frequency and intensity. Again, the words TRUTH (or righteousness in the English translation) and JUSTICE resounded.

As Rania and I followed the unfolding of events including the announced change in government and president Mubarak’s speech, we wondered why the international news media is focusing only on the thousands in Tahrir square who are escalating their demands and refusing dialogue. The news media is reporting this as “the people of Egypt” wanting Mubarak to leave immediately. Did they ask the “people of Egypt?”. For one, they did not ask me! Where are those, like myself, that want change and reform, but accept the changes that Mubarak is proposing, and want a peaceful transition through elections in September?

We decided to take to the streets to voice our opinion. On Tuesday February 1st we went to Mustafa Mahmoud square in Mohandessin. There were about one thousand people there around 3:30 pm. (yes, we broke the curfew). the crowd grew to about 2500 by 5:00 pm. People were calling their friends over the phone telling them to come. We left at about 6:30 pm and returned yesterday, Wednesday, starting at 11:00 am. The small group had swelled to TENS OFTHOUSANDS OF PEOPLE standing together with banners saying things like:

- yes to stability, yes to Mubarak

- give change a chance

- we are sorry Mr. president

- we accept dialogue, we trust you

- no to ElBaradei, no to the muslim brotherhood (many like this one)

- we are the Egyptians, where is Al-Jazeera, let them come and see

- no to corruption, no to vandalism

- we got what we asked the president for, so why are people still in Tahrir? Who are they? What do they want?

etc., etc., etc.

By 2:00 pm, the crowd had grown to SEVERAL HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, maybe up to a million, stretching from Sphinx square to Sudan street. We had a great sense of unity and victory. We met with people who were in the original protest in Tahrir square who decided to join us saying: “we got what we asked for, and now we accept Mubarak’s changes and proposals.”

We left around 4:15 pm. The numbers had grown even more, POSSIBLY OVER A MILLION. As we drove home we saw the same slogans on banners all over the city, on cars, on walls, on shop windows. We learned that similar demonstrations are taking place ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, IN MAY DIFFERENT CITIES. THIS IS THE CRY OF THE PEOPLE OF EGYPT THAT IS BEING TOTALLY IGNORED BY THE INTERNATIONAL NEWS MEDIA. Is this on purpose??!!! I am perplexed!!! I am wondering: How come CNN, the BBC, and others are reporting ONLY the anti-government protests as the voice of the people? This is not JUSTICE, this is not TRUTH. There have been reports that these people are being paid by the government. NOT TRUE! I was there with many many others. I SAW THE STREETS.

Now to the situation in Tahrir square. Only a few people (hundreds?) are still there from the original protesters. They have been slowly replaced by other HIGHLY ORGANIZED GROUPS. They all have the same model of cell phones. They all have the same blankets (eye witnesses). THESE ARE NOT THE PEOPLE OF EGYPT. Some witnesses claim that they don’t look Egyptians, and don’t sound Egyptians (different accent, different dialect). THIS IS A BIG ORGANIZED COUP TO TRY TO CONVINCE THE WORLD THROUGH THE MEDIA THAT EGYPT WANTS MUBARAK TO GO, AND THE MEDIA IS PART OF THE DECEPTION. People in Tahrir square are escalating the situation on purpose to topple President Mubarak FOR THEIR OWN HIDDEN AGENDAS. This is TYPICAL OF THE MUSLIM BROTHERS, AND EVERYBODY IN THE STREETS OF CAIRO KNOWS THIS. We heard people on the streets saying that the plot to take over the country is now clear. THE INTERNATIONAL MEDIA DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS. The escalation of violence in Tahrir square is because of this. Egyptians who love Egypt, the millions that took to the streets yesterday, want this to end. They fully understand that president Mubarak is between a rock and a hard place, that he cannot quench the unrest in Tahrir through the army, so the people want to go to Tahrir to disperse the crowds there by themselves. People in Tahrir are vastly outnumbered. If Egyptians go the Tahrir square to take control of the situation, more chaos will erupt, giving a chance to the international media to blame the President even more.

If Egypt falls, then neighbouring countries are going to fall one after the other. WE NEED PRAYER, WE ASK FOR TRUTH, WE ASK FOR JUSTICE, and above all LORD, in wrath, REMEMBER MERCY. Stand with us. The Lord calls Egypt “My people”. He is calling on His HOLY COUNCIL in the land of Egypt to stand before Him, to make declarations in the heavenlies to establish a new ‘constitution’ in the land based on the principles of the Word of God, to establish a ‘new foundation’ for His kingdom to come. Pray for the schemes of the enemy to be annulled and voided. Pray for deception to be exposed. We humble ourselves and pray. We seek the Face of the LORD. We turn from our wicked ways. LISTEN TO US LORD, FORGIVE US, HEAL OUR LAND. In the Name of Jesus.
